A visually captivating poster for Dr. Cheng Yu’s solo recital at the British Museum, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. The design should seamlessly merge traditional Chinese Gong Bi paintings with the cultural symbolism of the festival, creating an elegant and culturally rich visual experience.
Concept
The poster features a moon-shaped centrepiece inspired by the mythical “Palace in the Moon,” a traditional Chinese fairy tale. Detailed Gong Bi paintings of flowers and plants adorn the moon, while Dr. Cheng Yu is depicted as Chang’e, the legendary fairy, sitting in the palace and playing traditional music. The design captures the essence of the Mid-Autumn Festival, evoking a sense of elegance and cultural depth.
