Project Overview
Cinequest is an interactive web platform designed for film lovers to discover new titles, host virtual watch parties, earn achievement badges, complete genre-based challenges, and join discussions with a like-minded community.
The product is centered around the core values: Discover, Watch, and Connect.
My Role & Contributions:
Visual Design: Led the UI/UX design, developing a cohesive visual system across the platform. This included brand colours, typography, layout consistency, iconography, and motion design to ensure an engaging and immersive user experience.
Front-End Development: Built responsive, semantic web pages using HTML and CSS, implementing the designs with attention to detail across both desktop and mobile.
Back-End Collaboration: Contributed to the development of the Ruby on Rails API, working on endpoints for user accounts, movies, reviews, achievements, and forum interactions.
Project Management: Organised the development cycle using Trello, handling task breakdowns, tracking sprint progress, and coordinating with collaborators to meet milestones efficiently.
